Who we are

Claire Miner

Claire is a recent graduate from Dalhousie University with a Major in Psychology and a Minor in Health Studies. She is currently finishing the Mental Health and Addictions Graduate Certificate also from Dalhousie University. Her research interests include stress reduction through relaxation techniques and nutrition as well as the relationship impact of cognition on motor performance. Outside of research, Claire enjoys spending time with family and friends and being outside; skiing, hiking and biking.

Sofia Westfall

Sofia is in her final year at Dalhousie University, completing a BSc degree majoring in Neuroscience. Her main research interests include the gut-brain axis and neurodevelopmental disorders. She hopes to translate those interests into further studies in public health and related fields at the graduate level. Outside of academics, Sofia plays for the Dalhousie women’s lacrosse team and enjoys playing cards with friends, skiing, and planning her next travel adventure.
